🌱 The Simple Lawn – Service Policies & Disclaimers
1. Billing & Payments
All services are billed monthly in advance through Square.
Monthly invoices are generated on the 1st of each month and payment must be made before services are performed.
Payment generates service credits for that month. Unused credits cannot be rolled over or refunded.
Multi-month prepayments are available at a discounted rate.
2. Service Schedule
A weekly service day will be assigned during onboarding.
The number of services in a month depends on how many service days fall in that month (typically 4–5).
Weekly service is required for standard maintenance. Bi-weekly service may be approved seasonally or by request, depending on growth conditions.
3. Weather & Rescheduling
If weather prevents service, it will be rescheduled within 24–48 hours.
If rescheduling is not possible due to prolonged weather conditions, a credit will be applied to the next month’s invoice.
4. Yard Size & Accessibility
Standard package pricing applies to lawns up to 8,000 sq. ft.
Yards between 8,001–10,000 sq. ft. incur a $10 surcharge per visit. Larger properties will be quoted individually.
Service areas must be accessible on the scheduled day (gates unlocked, pets secured, vehicles not blocking). If access is blocked, the visit will be marked as completed and no refund or credit will be issued.
5. Property Conditions
Lawns must be maintained regularly. Excessive overgrowth, debris, or hazardous conditions may require a one-time cleanup fee before regular service begins.
The Simple Lawn is not responsible for damage to hidden objects in the yard (toys, hoses, rocks, irrigation heads, pet items, etc.). Clients are responsible for clearing these items before service.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Services can be canceled at any time with written notice before the next billing cycle.
Refunds are not offered once a billing cycle has begun, as monthly payment secures your reserved service slot.
Skipped services at the client’s request are not credited or refunded.
7. Add-On & Seasonal Services
Add-on services (leaf cleanup, flower bed maintenance, bush/shrub trimming, mulch installation, etc.) may be scheduled separately and billed via Square.
Seasonal adjustments (such as bi-weekly mowing during slower growth) will be discussed and reflected in the next month’s invoice.
8. Liability & Safety Disclaimer
The Simple Lawn uses professional electric equipment for safety and efficiency.
While every effort is made to avoid property damage, we are not liable for damage to underground utilities, sprinkler systems, or hidden obstacles not disclosed by the client.
Clients must keep pets and children inside during service for their safety.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are dissatisfied with a service, notify us within 24 hours of completion. We will return to address the issue at no additional cost.
This guarantee does not apply to conditions outside our control (weather, pests, drought, watering issues, etc.).
10. Inability to Fulfill Services
In the rare event that The Simple Lawn is unable to fulfill its service obligations for reasons within our control (such as staffing or equipment breakdown), clients will be notified immediately.
If service cannot be rescheduled within the same billing cycle, we will issue a pro-rated refund or credit for the missed service(s).
11. Termination of Service
The Simple Lawn reserves the right to terminate service for non-payment, repeated blocked access, unsafe conditions, or abusive behavior.
Any remaining service credits will be forfeited upon termination.
